The Honeywell-Braukmann FF06-1"AAM device is used for mechanical pre-filtering of hot and cold water. It's designed to remove various particles from the water such as sand and rust, larger than 100 microns.

Honeywell has developed a specialized system for flushing the filters to extend their service life. During the cleaning process, a water flow washes the filter element and removes debris accumulated at the bottom of the bowl without interrupting its primary function.
